Mrs. Denney was born and raised in St. Paul, MN. She went to WELS Lutheran grade school and high school. She attended Martin Luther College where she graduated in May 2006 with Bachelors’ Degree in elementary and early childhood education. After graduation, she married Chris, and together they moved to Jackson, MI, to start a Learning Center program. Mrs. Denney served for two years as director and lead preschool teacher. In July 2008 she accepted the call to serve as the K4, kindergarten, and first grade teacher at Our Saviour Lutheran.

In her free time Mrs. Denney likes to keep in contact with and visit family and friends, cook for her husband J, travel, and explore Lake Havasu!

Rachel Carson

Grades 2 – 4

My name is Rachel Carson and I grew up in Fort Atkinson, WI. I am married to Darren Carson who is a teacher at a charter school in town. We have four children, two of which attend our Saviour Lutheran. I received my teaching degree at Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee, WI and I have a coaching minor. I have been teaching for seven years and have been in Lake Havasu for six. I have taught k4 to 4 grade at different times throughout those 6 years and have taught reading all the way up to 8th. I love my job and the opportunity I have to teach kids not only academics but also share with them the word of our wonderful Savior.
