Dear members of Our Saviour Lutheran Church,

I am writing to inform you that I am humbly accepting the Divine call which your congregation extended to me through the Assignment Committee of the Evangelical Lutheran Synod. With the help of God, I solemnly promise to preach the Word of God in all its truth and purity, to administer the Sacraments, and to perform the functions of a pastor in an evangelical manner.

I pray that the Lord Jesus Christ will grant me the grace to do that which He has called me to do. My family and I ask that you continue to remember us daily in your prayers so that together we can grow in grace and the knowledge of salvation through Jesus Christ. By the grace of God, may we say together with the apostle Paul, “[We] are not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes” (Rom 1:16). God grant it!
