Tuesday April 27, Soup Supper at 6:00pm, Meeting at 6:30pm. Mary needs volunteers to make soup or dessert. The congregation needs every eligible voter to be there to vote. See Mary if you would like to help.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Will be held earlier this year, June 7-11. 8am to 12pm. Vicar Saari is coordinating VBS this year along with Miss Dee. If you would like to sign up to donate snacks, volunteer your time or makes $$ donations please see Vicar or Dee. A VBS Planning meeting will be Monday May 3rd at 1pm in the Fellowship Hall. If you have any questions please see Vicar Saari.
LADIES GUILD SPRING LUNCHEON
Will be Saturday May 1st will start at 12noon, but there by 11:45am. This year it will be held at Casa Serrano, not in the Fellowship Hall. All the women of the church are invited. The cost for your choice of a one or two item combo plate is $11.50 or $12.50. That also includes the tax, gratuity and soft drink. See Alberta Ellis or Pauline Huebner for more information. The ladies need your RSVP by April 26.
ALTAR GUILD
There will be a short meeting after next Sunday May 2nd service at the church regarding the Baptism Banner. The Banner is finished and Mary and Judy would like a few moments of your time to show the Altar Guild how it is to be displayed.
LUTHERAN SENTINEL
If you do not receive the Lutheran Sentinel every month, but would like to or you receive it and would no longer like to receive it. Please let Kelly know so she can send the updated list in.
QUILTERS & CRAFTERS
The ladies of the Quilters and Craters group will be selling buttons this year, much like their Christmas ones last year. This year it will say “Biblically Correct NOT Politically Correct.” The cost is $1 a piece. They are available in the Fellowship Hall and at the Chapel.
SCHOOL NEWS
Tuesday May 4th from 5-7pm the school will be holding an Open House for the community, with open enrollment, food and prizes!
The school needs everyone’s help and here are ways you can get involved:
- Baked goods are needed for dessert that night.
- Monetary donations are always welcome to help offset the cost of supplies, decorations and advertising.
- Items are needed to fill backpacks that will be given to the first 10 new students that register,
- Come out and show your support and be present to help get the word out to the community.
- There will be another planning meeting on Monday April 26th at 3:15pm for more information

Get the word out about our school. The IBE Scholarship has been extended, scholarship monies are available to students coming from public school. See Kelly or Chris for more info. The Director of IBE will be on hand at the Open House to help expedite the scholarship applications and answer questions. Help us reach and exceed our goal of 15 new students!
